OP110: 3G, Content and Data Operations and Controls

The course is designed to provide the student with a comprehensive , end to end understanding of the many different aspects of operations and controls for non-voice service offerings. Included will be review of all major forms of non-voice service including:

bulletStreaming (Audio / Video)
bullet3G, 2 1/2 G, 2 G
bulletGPRS
bulletUMTS
bulletMMS
bulletSMS
bulletWAP
bulletAlternative control, measurement and billing criteria
bulletAssurance and controls mechanisms

Duration: 1 day

Overview:

Special attention will be given to the many different issues associated with Content Delivery, Service Levels and Working with Service Level Providers.

 *This is a workshop class and students will be expected to make presentations, discuss situations from their own environment or experience and work out the details of how to best attain “maximum impact for minimum cost” in their own organizations

Students will be asked to research their own prepaid environments and answer anonymous, in depth questionnaires before attending the workshop. Workshops throughout the day will help students to:

bulletDiagnose and breakdown the operational characteristics of their own non-voice environments
bulletCompare their environments to the standard environment discussed
bulletDevelop strategies for:
bullet Determining the level of revenue associated with each
bullet Determine the level of risk to revenue associated with each
bulletDefining appropriate forensic and alternative control strategies for each major service line.
